Empowering Residents. Elevating Evanston.

What is the
Evanston Action Coalition

We are a strictly nonpartisan, citizen-led registered non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening civic participation, enhancing government transparency, and preserving the integrity of Evanston’s democratic institutions. Our mission is to ensure that policy decisions—particularly those affecting zoning, urban planning, and community development—reflect the informed will of residents and protect the character and quality of life that define our city. Through public education, advocacy, and the thoughtful vetting of candidates and appointments, we promote accountable leadership and responsible stewardship of Evanston’s future.
